President Ivan Gašparovič and his spouse Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová welcomed on 10 March 2010 in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava successful solvers of international olympiads in various subjects from Slovak secondary schools. In her foundation the Spouse of the President Mrs. Gašparovičová dedicates her activities also to education of young people.

President Ivan Gašparovič in the meeting with students stressed out that he is always happy to meet with capable young people who are doing something for themselves, but also for society as a whole. "Your participation in international competitions has confirmed your skills," he said. He also thanked the successful students for their excellent representation of Slovakia and also praised present teachers who recognized their skills and lead them to such results.
