"Protecting of Children and Youth – Tobacco, Alcohol and Arugs" is the title of the publication that was on 25th May 2010 baptized by the First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and the Minister of Health Mr. Richard Raši. Both were honored with the role of god-parents.

The First Lady thinks that this publication is an excellent achievement. „I always support awareness campaigns and actions that deal with this issue, and I believe they aren´t unnecessary. Neither enough educational work in primary and secondary schools will discourage students from smoking and excessive drinking of alcohol, and often even trying drugs. Young people are not aware that even the slightest experience with tobacco, alcohol and drugs can have serious consequences for their health and can be the first step to addiction,“ said the spouse of the President.

This book considers as extremely beneficial also the Minister of Health Richard Raši. "I am very pleased that a book was published, which handles not only smoking, but also the combination of tobacco, alcohol and drugs, because each of these hazardous substances potentials the use of the other," said Minister of Health. He added that he hopes "that the book gets there where it is given to anyone who works with youth, who works with our patients and the result will be that even our young people understand that ´in´ is no smoking, no drugs and no drinking of alcohol.“

The book was written by Róbert Ochaba, Ivan Rovný and Ivan Bielik. As the Slovak Main Hygienist Ivan Rovný at the baptism said, alarming is the consumption of spirits in the age group 15-24 years. "Alcohol is our number one national drug. Absolutely does not drink, unfortunately, only a small percentage of Slovaks. The society is accepting it as part of itself," said Ivan Rovný. Authors themselves want this book to fulfill its purpose and came to the right place - the book is addressed to children and youth, but also to teachers or crisis centers.
