On 15th October 2010 First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who is also President of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody, formally handed over to the Cancer Institute of St. Elisabeth in Bratislava two EKG maschines. These devices will the institute use at the Gynecologic Oncology Department and at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery. As the director of the Cancer Institute of St. Elizabeth Mr. Juraj Kaušitz, "I want to thank the foundation that they thought about us. You gave us a wonderful sponsorship. Oncology is a very challenging department and I also want to emphasize that today the health care has problems also with finances. For us it is very gratifying that we have such a foundation. We want to promise that all these devices will be full used for our cancer patients," said Juraj Kaušitz.

The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody seeks to provide life-saving equipment for medical facilities through the project Help to health facilities. "I know that hospitals are struggling with lack of funds to purchase any equipment and modernization. I´m very glad that we were able to help again also thanks to a partner - the company Slovenské elektrárne, a member of Enel. I firmly believe that the equipment will help to diagnose a disease faster," said during the visit the First Lady.

During the visit of the institute Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová also inspected the newly reconstructed rooms of the Cancer Institute of St. Elizabeth – the Department of Nuclear Medicine and visited also several patients.
