On 1st October 2010 in the Archbishop’s Palace in Bratislava began the VI. Day of Women Entrepreneurs and Manageresses. The patronage over the event took First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.

First Lady of Slovakia has long been supporting the activities of the Top Centre of Businesswomen. "It is gratifying to see how each member of the club activates and tries to improve its work. Many of them developed themselves from leading a smaller company into a larger one, which is very pleasing," she said at the meeting. At the same time she added that it is very good when women, who are considering a business, with their questions may contact the clubs and associations of women entrepreneurs.

The aim of this three-day conference is to inform the slovak society on the status of women in Slovakia, their economic activities and the status and experiences of women in management and decision-making positions. As the President of the Top Centre of Businesswomen Mrs. Elvíra Chadimová said, "I am glad that already over the first day of entrepreneurs and manageresses in 2005 took over the patronage the First Lady of Slovakia, who understand the needs of women entrepreneurs and managers. It is wonderful that we still maintain your favor." According to her, learning and cognition, as well as exchange of experiences with each other, are very important for entrepreneurs.

A business experience has also the First Lady. She knows that it is not an easy road, when a woman decides to do business. As stated, "usually the business deprive women entrepreneurs especially at the beginning of all time and energy. If they don´t miss, however, perseverance, often they maintain more than their male partners or competitors. To compete and to convince the public about their quality – for this the woman entrepreneur has to work more than eight hours a day and also maintain the family life. I know that all this women entrepreneurs and managers are able to do and they also help our entire economy, which are an important part of."

At the conference ladies discussed the successful women in information technology, tourism, industry and the women mayors – manageresses in government.
