On 9th July 2010 in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava met the First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová with representatives of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. Ladies informed the First Lady about activities of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. The talks dominated topics such as education of nurses and the recently situation that troubles nurses. As the President of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives Mrs. Mária Lévyová said a common problem is the disinterest of young people in this job due to bad financial and social assessment. The Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives therefore believes that this situation will change.

Mrs. Gašparovičová is the honorary member of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives

Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová annually supports the activities of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. One of them is the Festive Seminar at the occasion of the International Nurses Day, which each year brings new trends and information in the field of nursing.

For long-term support of nurses and midwives was this year to Mrs. Gašparovičová awarded the honorary membership in the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. President of the chamber Mrs. Mária Lévyová gave the honorary membership plaque to Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová at the meeting in the Presidential Palace.
