On 7th January 2010 Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová attended the official rendering of highest state awards on the occasion of national Day of Establishing of the Slovak Republic. The ceremony in the historical building of the National Council of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava attended also the chairman of the National Council Pavol Paška and his wife, Prime Minister Robert Fico and his wife, representatives of government, diplomatic corps, churches and other guests.

State honours 2010

Awarded personalities of Slovak scientific, cultural and social life are: Daniel Belluš, Peter and Pavol Hochschorner, Pavol Strauss, Ján Kukuča, Vladimír Báleš, Eva Blahová, Klára Buzássyová, Ladislav Čavojský, Jozef Dóczy, Ivan Hričovský, Alica Kapellerová, Rudolf Pullmann, Ladislav Šándor, Milan Vároš, Gila Fatranová, Juraj Fatran, Dezider Banga, Zuzana Nebusová and Šebastián Labo.
