On 11th October 2010 First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová welcomed in the Golden Room of the Presidential Palace wives of new ambassadors of Austria, Egypt and Palestine to Slovakia.

Together with Mrs. Etelka Wuketich-Dudás, wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Slovakia, Mrs. Gašparovičová discussed the many official and charitable activities. "Your CV impressed me very much, my respect for what all you are doing. As spouse of the President you have the chance to do much good and you do so well," said Mrs. Dudás. At the same time she stated that Bratislava impressed her as a nice, clean, peaceful and familiar city that she wants to get to know more.

Mrs. Doha Mahmoud Hanafi Mahmoud, wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Slovak Republic, was also interested in the activities of the International Women’s Club in Bratislava, which also the First Lady of Slovakia is an honorary member too. On this occasion Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová informed her about the traditional Christmas Charity Bazaar. Mrs. Doha Mahmoud cooperated in Egypt with the spouse of the Egyptian President on various charity projects such as reconstruction of buildings or hospitals. At the meeting, Mrs. Gašparovičová also mentioned the letter that she wrote to the First Lady of Egypt Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, regarding the abduction of the son of Mrs. Azab. "Separated mother suffers and in particular also Adam, who lives a long time in an unfamiliar environment," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. Wife of Egyptian Ambassador in Slovakia believes that this situation will be solved quickly.

Mrs. Nessrein Bseiso, wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine in the Slovak Republic was honored to be welcomed by the First Lady. Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová informed Mrs. Nessrein Bseiso and the history of Slovak spas. During the interview the First Lady mentioned her activities in the Slovak Foundation Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody. Wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine in Slovakia for many years worked as the director of the American organization ´Save the Children´, which helps the children in Palestine. "At present I work in Cyprus, where I teach at a private school children who have special needs," said Mrs. Nessrein Bseiso. She hopes that in Slovakia she will be able to give assistance to children of Palestine.
