The Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody could give a helping hand again also thanks to the partner Slovenské elektrárne, a.s., a member of Enel. "I am delighted that we managed to get financial support. I would like to thank the partner, that we could purchase linear engine pumps which will increase the comfort of children cancer patients. I wish you better treatment with these machines and I wish you a wonderful Christmas time," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.

According to the Minister of Health Mr. Ivan Uhliarik this is a very meritorious gift. "I am very pleased that the foundation of Mrs. Gašparovičová donated three linear pumps for treatment of these children. I am very glad that in the Christmas time foundations and charities do such gestures. Any such assistance not only during the Christmas time is very welcomed,“ said the Minister of Health, who came among children with gifts – with fruit and healthy food. "It’s really our trend that we teach children who are our greatest treasure how to eat and live healthily," said Ivan Uhliarik.

First Lady of Slovakia along with Minister of Health Ivan Uhliarik and Director of the Children´s Hospital in Bratislava Daniel Žitňan inaugurated the renewed B-department for small cancer patients. The department has undergone a renovation, including the exchange of hanging decks and lighting, walls plaster, painting and exchanging of PVC floor coverings.

According to Daniel Žitňan the treatment of cancer requires long-term intensive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, "and I am very pleased that from today even young children can be treated in a comfortable environment," said the hospital director. New renovated rooms also welcomed Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. "It’s remarkable that they managed in such a large scale to change the conditions for young cancer patients," said the First Lady. The main reason for reconstruction was to increase the standard of hygiene.
