Gordana Turuk Collection 2008

„Born in Fire“ – that´s the name of this year´s new artistic objects collection introduced by slovak glass designer Gordana Turuk in the historic Bratislava castle. Her masterpieces saw on 10th September 2008 also Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who hold the auspice over this event. This well-known artist found inspiration in butterflies and they were the theme of the evening.

As Mrs. Gašparovičová said, Gordana Turuk is speading only optimism and joy. „Glass became a part of her. Through this crystal clear, pure and fragile stuff she perceives the world around and speaks her unique language. Not only in Slovakia but also abroad she has many admirers of her creation. She makes this world more beautiful and shows her view of a tender artist.“

Gordana Turuk works with glass since 1999 when she came to Slovakia. She makes various artifacts form glass: pictures, vases, jewels, interior fillings etc. She´s well known because of her charity activities.
