Increase awareness of lung cancer – also this is one of the objectives of the global campaign "November – the month of awareness of lung cancer." The idea of awareness-raising campaign was also supported by Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová together with the Minister of Health Richard Raši. Both together on 6th November 2008 formally launched the campaign at a press conference in Bratislava. This year will be the first time involving Slovakia into the global campaign. "The fact that lung cancer exists, there is the need to talk and inform. We know that the disease can affect not only us adults but also young people. Health is not only a health issue, but the responsibility lies also at the Ministry of Education. At some schools oncology education is taught and number of such schools should be increased," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.
