Together with her husband President Ivan Gašparovič they opened the Slovak Olympic House which is located in the heart of Beijing. Here Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová had the opportunity to speak with slovak athletes. It is interesting that also in the slovak house meet not only slovak athletes or officials. As Mrs. Gašparovičová said, "the Slovak house visited also Prince Albert of Monaco – it was one of the three houses he visited."
In addition to sports, however, diplomatic meetings weren´t left behind. In addition to participation at the Summer Olympics, President Ivan Gašparovič together with his spouse also met with the Chinese President Hu Jintao. With him they exchanged views on bilateral relations. |
