Exchange of experience, knowledge, expertise or interest in the business – also these were some of the goals of the 1st Czecho-Slovak Women Entrepreneurs and Manageresses Conference held on 15th October 2008 in Prague. Manageresses and entrepreneurs in Slovakia and the Czech Republic visited also First Ladied of both countries – Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and Mrs. Livia Klausová, who took the patronage of the event. The motto of the conference was inspired by personalities of Czech, Slovak and world business.

According to Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová meet today a woman in a senior position is nothing exceptional. "Raising the standard of living and availability of service at home to relieve women causes also in Slovakia that there will be more women in all leadership positions. In Slovakia, however, we still have reserves in the legislation concerning the laws and directives that women - mothers raising young children can facilitate part-time." At this point, Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová personally involves herself in discussions and in various forums not only in Slovakia. 

I. Czech-Slovak Conference of entrepreneurs and manageresses

Organizer of the conference was the Manageresses Club of the Czech Managerial Association and TOP Center of Slovak Entrepreneurs. In addition, other important personalities from political, social and economic life of the Czech and Slovak Republic spoke at the conference, but also several foreign guests. Chairpersons of both business associations believe that the tradition of a Czech-Slovak Conference will successfully continue in the future.
