On 13 December 2011 in Bratislava was held the pre-Christmas meeting of the Council of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives, in which participated also the First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. First Lady of Slovakia is since 2010 the honorary member of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives.

Visit of the First Lady of Slovakia at nurses

During the joint meeting of President of the Chamber Mrs. Mária Lévyová advised Mrs. Gašparovičová with current problems and issues related to the situation of nurses in Slovakia. At the same time she informed her about tasks and activities within the Council.

Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová thanked all nurses for that they even in the crisis situation during the strike of doctors remained at the side of their patients. She personally got convinced about that during a visit to the hospital in Bratislava-Kramáre, when the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody handed over a gift – adjustable beds – to the 1st Intern SZU and UNB Clinic of Dionýz Dieška in this hospital.
