The construction field was one of the crucial pillars of the industry and development of the national economy of Slovakia, said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová in her speech. As she further added, "the global crisis has also affected our country, as well as the construction field. The main factors currently limiting the growth of construction production may include insufficient demand for construction production and financial constraints. There is less funding for public and for private sector, expenditures are cutted down." According to the First Lady of Slovakia some driving force in times of crisis should be particularly the highway construction.
