First Ladies of Slovakia and Slovenia visited the Slovak National Gallery

After the first meeting of presidential couples in the Meeting Room of the Presidential Palace in Bratislava on 12 April 2012, the First Ladies moved to the Golden Room. "I am delighted that once again we can meet in Slovakia," said at the beginning of the meeting Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. During the discussion, First Lady of Slovakia informed about the project 'Help to the health care institutions – buying of life-saving devices' of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody. "Through this project we have been able to help several medical facilities in Slovakia with needed medical equipment," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.

First Ladies have also common activities. In addition to taking auspices over conferences both of them support the World Parkinson's Disease Day, which was on 11 April 2012. They agreed that it is important to improve the status of patients with this disease.

Than both ladies visited a unique exhibition in the Slovak National Gallery – a large collection of the Slovak modern art by artists like Martin Benka, Miloš Alexander Bazovský and other important artists, whose goal was to see what is our Slovak identity. Later, the First Ladies watched a part of a thematic exhibition entitled 'Delete. Arts and Delete '. In this exhibition, Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and Mrs. Barbara Miklič Türk got familiar with the works of 25 authors from 1970 to present. Into the interactive work of author Jaroslav Varga they even added two more titles of books: Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová wrote a book title from Ivan Gasparovič – A Decent Life for All, and Mrs. Barbara Miklič Türk wrote a book title from Danilo Türk – Basics of the International Law.

Tomorrow both First Ladies will visit the castle Červený Kameň.
