At the beginning of the meeting congratulated Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová the chamber to its round anniversary and wished continued good work for the community. First Lady encourages long-term activities related to construction not just as the First Lady of the country, but also as a long-time civil engineer. "Due to my recent activity in the construction field I have to follow everything that´s happening in the present modern, highly specialized and purpose oriented building in Slovakia and abroad. My travels abroad allow me to see the different architectural works, but I can say that Slovakia does not fall behind, what we can be proud of," said Silvia Gašparovičová. According to her the construction industry in Slovakia has made great progress also thanks to the Slovak Chamber of Civil Engineers. "With your work you contribute to the quality of our daily lives. Your solemn meeting with a wide participation of local and foreign experts, representatives of chambers and associations from several countries in Europe, is evidence of successful work and activity not only in Slovakia but also in European cooperation, " said the First Lady of Slovakia.

Evaluation and thanking was also done at the conference. For a long-term cooperation in the field of education gave the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Alojz Kopáčik a thanksgiving plaque to the SKSI-President Dušan Majdúch. Subsequently, more than 280 domestic and foreign participants from the construction field addressed in their professional contributions not only the current mission of the building chamber in Slovakia, but also looked back on the legacy of civil engineering – technical monuments - and introduced current civil engineering with an emphasis on the need for responsible design and implementation of quality buildings in Slovakia at a reasonable price.

SKSI is a professional organization, renewed in 1992 by the Act No. 138/1992 on Authorised Architects and Authorised Civil Engineers. It brings together more than 5,000 authorized civil engineers and 600 volunteer members from the construction sector (individuals, legal persons). In addition to authorization, it is testing professional competence for energy certification, construction leadership and building inspection.
