On 29 May 2012 Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová attended the press conference devoted to the National Golf Day in Slovakia. This event will be held for the first time on 17 June 2012 all around Slovakia. The National Golf Day is held under the auspices of the Slovak First Lady.
The main objective of this day is to show the golf game to the general public and explain that golf is a game only for the rich ones. During the National Golf Day 19 golf resorts will open their golf academies with instructors, visitors can try golf for free, guests are guided through golf academies and playgrounds and basic information about the game itself will be given.
For several years the First Lady of Slovakia supports development of youth golf in Slovakia through the Junior Golfers Association of Slovakia. Golf lessons take already place at several schools and colleges. |
