On 15 November 2012 in the premises of the Municipal P. O. Hviezdoslav Theater in Bratislava took place with the participation of prominent personalities, government officials, architects, designers, contractors, builders and building companies the 18th annual national competition of completed constructions in Slovakia – the Construction of the Year 2012. Auspices over the competition took over the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič.
The event was attended also by the Slovak First Lady. "Quality, parameters and especially the contribution of a construction to the whole society significantly affects our lives, improves and cultivates not only the environment, the landscape, but also the way of thinking and attitude of its people," said in her speech Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.
Among 21 buildings assessed by an international jury were with the title Building of the Year 2012 awarded the GasOil engineering, a. s. headquarters in Spišská Teplica. The Price of the Public for the Year 2012 was traditionally awarded by the First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. Along with the internet voting of the general public, the Construction of the Year 2012 became the refurbishment and extension of the hotel wellness center in Wellness Hotel Bystrá at Tále. |
