On 13 November 2012 in Bratislava was held a scientifical meeting under the auspices of the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič and the Minister of Health Zuzana Zvolenská on the occasion of the 200th heart transplant, which was performed at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Bratislava (NÚSCH). The event also attended the First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.

The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Bratislava is more than 25 years providing excellent comprehensive health services – diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the heart and blood vessels in accordance with the latest scientific and professional knowledge of cardiovascular medicine to patients from all over Slovakia. Part of it is also the Children’s Cardiology Centre.
