Already for the 5th time in Báč met those who are not indifferent to the lives of others. On 5th September 2009 a charity golf tournament was played under the auspice of the spouse of the President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. This charity event was organized by the foundation "Save the Heart!".
The aim of this charity event was to gather funds for the development of robotic assisted surgery in Slovakia. "In my experience, the buying of life-saving devices is not easy. Even through my foundation – Education and Health for Everybody we have already helped several medical facilities. It is a very good feeling when you know that with your help you can influence and improve the lives of many people," said the First Lady in her speech.
She appealed to people not to underestimate their health. "While the disease does not affect us, we don´t concern problems so seriously," she added. Together with Mr. Peter Lukáč, the President of 1st Foundation of Cardiac Surgery "Save the Heart!" she rendered prices to golf tournament winners, which were created by the glass artist Gordana Turuk.
