Spouse of the President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová by cutting the ceremonial ribbon on 8 October 2009 handed over the interactive whiteboard in the amount of almost 2000,- Eur to the Secondary Vocational School for Students with Hearing Disabilities at Koceľova street in Bratislava. "I hope by using this interactive board you will learn good and you successfully manage also final exams," said the First Lady.

Mrs. Gašparovičová appreciated also the work of an English teacher, who learned very quickly to work with this board. The board facilitates the learning process of deaf students who learn especially through vision. "This gift is of great value to us - these kids speak with their eyes," said the headmistress Mrs. Eva Kršková.

School students were enjoying this rare visit and praised not only with their achievements in competitions, whether their own products, but also with sign dancing and working on computers.

This is not the first time when the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová - Education and Health for Everybody helped this school. In October 2007, the Foundation has paid a cash gift of 3319.39,- Euro /100.000,- SKK/ for the project "Sunny and Joyful Silence," which focused on the education of future senior managers of organizations for deaf as well as project managers for deaf.
