Spouse of the President of the Slovak Republic Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová welcomed on 21st October 2009 in the Golden Room of the Presidential Palace the spouse of the Lebanon’s new ambassador to Slovakia. It happened at the occasion of rendering credentials to the slovak President Ivan Gašparoviš from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lebanon in the Slovak Republic Mr. Ishaya El-Khoury.
Bratislava is not new to Mrs. El-Khoury. She often used to come here twenty years ago during the time her husband worked at the lebanese embassy in Vienna. As noted, Bratislava has since than changed a lot especially into the positive direction.
First Lady and Mrs. El-Khoury discussed in particular the problem of migration of young educated people. This problem affects both Slovakia and especially Lebanon, where it is really convex. |
