On October 15, 2007 took Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová part at the international conference „Domestic Violence – New Practice and New Legislation in Europe“ that was hold in Bratislava´s University of Law. President of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ivan Gašparovič hold the auspice about the conference.
In her speech at the conference´ beginning Mrs. Gašparovičová presented the activities of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody, especially the opening and work of the Point of the First Contact with a Help Line, Crisis Centre and Education Centre aimed at help for abused women. These are realised by the civil association Pink Telephone as the foundation´s project „Life without violence“.
At the 2-days conference different experts talked about reasons, forms and displays of violence, roles of police, justice, law regulation and praxis in Slovakia, Czech republic, Austria, comparison of law regulations in Europe etc. |
