On wednesday December 12, 2007, rendered the new US ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Mr. Vincent Obsitnik, who has slovak origin, his letters of credence into the hands of the slovak president. This festivy act visited also his spouse Mrs. Annemarie Obsitnik. She was warmly welcomed and hosted by the slovak First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová in the Golden Room of the Presidential Palace.

Pani Obsitniková u pani Gašparovičovej

Mrs. Obsitnik was born in Yonkers (New York) right after her parents settled down there from Germany in 1938. Together with her husband they grew up 4 children. In the past she has done charity work in schools, foundations and the church. Actually she pays attention to the actual problems of women and children as well as to the study of slovak language.
