President of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ivan Gašparovič together with his spouse Silvia remained on October 17, 2007 in a long and friendly discussion with the businessman Tomáš Baťa and his spouse.

Prezidentský pár prijal podnikateľa a spoluautora obuvníckeho gigantu Tomáša Baťu s manželkou

Mr. Baťa remembered his life and managerial problems after which followed his big success – building of the empire in the field of shoe industry.

Considering his age exceptionally vital Tomáš Baťa didn´t hide his joy from each visit of Slovakia. In the discussion with the presidential couple he explained his big gladness about well-doing of the Slovak Republic. He hopes our cooperation with the Czech Republic will be always good. He stated that Slovakia has a big chance to be successful in Europe and the world not only in the field of automobile industry.

„I´m really glad to be here,“ described Mr. Tomáš Baťa his impressions from the visit in Slovakia.
