Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová met on 7th August 2007 in the facilities of the President´s Palace the representatives of the city Giraltovce Mr. Ján Rubis and Mr. Kimák-Fejko, as well as the director of the Jewish Culture Museum in Bratislava Mr. Pavol Mešťan. They discussed the International Wander-exhibition of Medically Handicapped Children that had a big success in the world also due to the auspice hold by the slovak First Lady. Handicapped children from Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine, but also healthy talented children from Israel showed their paintings at this exhibition.

Mrs. Gašparovičová welcomed the photos from the exhibition, but also the given picture from the 7 years old Ilan Bronshtein from the city Hadera in Israel and the mentally handicapped girl from Giraltovce. „It´s unbelievable how similar the children´s paintings from all 4 countries are and how children also with a mental handicap real see everything around them. Fact is, healthy or handicapped children don´t have and know any borders,“ said Mrs. Gašparovičová. She again highlighted the work of all who devote themselves to handicapped children, lead them to painting and organize such international exhibitions. That´s the verification for the meaning of their hard work. At the end of the meeting she said she will also in the future hold the auspice over such events due to the fact she dedicates herself in her foundation to similar activities.
