“I think this is a special day for the Slovak culture from two aspects: first, a modern, multipurpose cultural and book centre, meeting demanding criteria, has been established; second, the buildings of the library can show themselves in their new elegance and become genuine treasure of the popular Bratislava promenade”, said the wife of the Slovak President in her speech. She also thanked the architects for their creative and courageous approach to the reconstruction of the precious historical buildings. They were able to combine the past and the present in an unusual way and thus make this extraordinary valuable piece of work represent the Slovakia‘s architecture in the best possible way. In conclusion, Mrs Gašparovičová wished all the library staff to enjoy working in the new premises and all the clients to make a convenient use of the new library.
