First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová met on 7 May 2013 at the Presidential Palace awarded personalities of the Slovak Red Cross, that in the morning in the Primate's Palace in Bratislava took their awards. Annually awarded are the most active SRC members on the occasion of the Red Cross and Red Crescent World Day. On behalf of the head of state greeted all present the Head of the Presidential Office Mr. Ján Šoth, who convey the personal thanks of the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič to personalities for their dedicated work and willingness to help other people and for the dissemination of good.
President of the Slovak Red Cross Mrs. Helena Kobzová was pleased that the presidential couple annually in the Presidential Palace meets the awarded personalities of the biggest worldwide voluntary movement, that deserve our respect and gratitude of the whole society. She stressed the moral values of all self-sacrificing workers and activists of the Slovak Red Cross, who assist wherever they are needed without any salary. The SRC President also expressed her gratitude for sympathy and support of the Slovak President and his wife for the Slovak Red Cross and its volunteers.
Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová highlighted the longstanding work of members and officials of the SRC, who really deserve their awards and expressed her admiration and respect to them. She expressed also her joy and pleasure that they help people in need, and that volunteering in Slovakia has still a wider base. For the future she wished all present representatives of the Slovak Red Cross good health and power for their future work. |
