On 23 January 2013 President Ivan Gašparovič and his wife Silvia Gašparovičová met in the Presidential Palace in Bratislava with the delegation of the Slovak Humanitarian Council and representatives of member organizations from all over Slovakia.
President of the Slovak Republic expressed his joy that the New Year´s meeting with representatives of the Slovak Humanitarian Council at the Presidential Palace has become a tradition.
First Lady Silvia Gašparovičová also greeted representatives of SHC member organizations and expressed great gratitude to them for their dedicated work. "I myself focus on the help for others and I know that it is a difficult and challenging one, but at the same time it´s a beautiful work. The feelings of this work are always beautiful. I wish you a lot of energy in your work, a lot of those wonderful feelings, who are giving to you those you have helped, amd a lot of happiness and health in your life."
In his speech President of the Slovak Humanitarian Council Ivan Sýkora appreciated the possibility of a meeting with the Slovak President and his wife. He pointed out the fact that the Slovak Humanitarian Council covers about 160 member organizations, whose members perform work for another ones. At the end of the meeting the talented disabled singer Marián Bango sang a song to the Presidential couple and all those present at the meeting. |
