On 17th June 2006 in the tennis area TJ Slávia Právnik in Bratislava Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová gave awards to winners of the international tennis cup SLOVAKIA OPEN 2006. It was the 2nd time the slovak First Lady hold the auspice over this event.
In her speech she greeted all participants of the tennis cup and highlighted the fact that this international tennis cup became one of the traditional ones of handicapped tennis players.
„It´s a great honour for Slovakia and I´m glad we make our country visible in this way. We show our will to help handicapped people live a normal life also with the possibilities of self-assertion in sport. Me personally as the First Lady and as the president of the foundation Education and Health for Everybody always support such activities. I always admire people who overcome themselves. Because of that I and our partner Motor-Car Slovensko decided to lend for 1 year the car Mercedes Vito for free to the Slovak Union of Medically Handicapped Sportlers. I´m glad the car serves to full satisfaction of handicapped sportlers and tennis players for their transport to tournaments in Slovakia and abroad. I will try to extend the term of lending the car at Motor-Car for you that you can use it for a longer time“, promised Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. |
