President Čaputová participated in the opening of the Slovak Global Network Summit on Monday 6 June 2022 the theme of which was the vision of Slovakia in 2030. 

In her speech the president emphasized that our country needs a realistic and inspiring vision and needs to build and permanently improve the infrastructure of state success. "We need much more, but the bottom line is that we have the most important thing that every country needs for its success – we have exceptional people who can provide their homeland with exceptional benefits. You can serve as proof of that and I am deeply convinced that this is a proper forum to provide the foundation for such vision and infrastructure.”    

According to the president, our common goal is to ensure that Slovakia remains a safe home.  “To ensure that we are a social, environmentally responsible state which respects the rule of law, provides quality education and healthcare and which will not leave its citizens at the mercy of crises. A country where is it common and normal to be a successful woman or member of a minority free of discrimination. Where the state decides based on facts, where corruption is no longer a political topic and where peace and compassion prevail over anger and intolerance.  So, let us listen to each other, and inspire and motivate each other, so that we can trust each other and our country.”  

The President is convinced that the real Slovakia is better than it might seem when viewed from the outside or on social networks. “During every single trip around Slovakia I meet people with enthusiasm for their community, for beauty, for their home, for the care of others. In these people I can see the potential of our country, which must be helped in order to grow. Today Slovakia needs to build on the wisdom and unity of people of good will and to give them hope. I hope that today’s discussions and new connections will contribute to that.”
