President hands over credentials to new ambassadors

On Monday 12 July 2022, President Čaputová handed over the credentials to the new ambassadors at the Presidential Palace.  

According to the president, we cannot afford to stand by and watch the world change before our own eyes.  We need to actively shape these changes. "I repeat this message at meetings with our ambassadors and I did the same today when I appointed the new ambassadors who will represent Slovakia in the Hellenic Republic, Poland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ireland, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belgium, Luxemburg, Saudi Arabia and international organizations UN and OBSE in Vienna."

Returning to international rules-based order and not spheres of influence is the guarantee for preserving our long-term statehood and sovereignty for Slovakia and for other members of the European Union and NATO. "I congratulate you on your appointment and I wish you luck, determination and energy in promoting the interests of Slovakia and defending the values of freedom, democracy, the rule of law and plurality and an inclusive society."
