Also this year on the feast of St. Nicholas, Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová lighted children’s eyes with healthy fruit. The vitamins in apples, bananas and oranges could enjoy children in the United Boarding School for Hearing Impaired Children at Hrdličkova street in Bratislava, as well as the Elementary School for the Blind and Visually Impaired at Svrčia street in Bratislava.
However, the First Lady didn´t forget the 102 children of our compatriots in the Serbian Vojvodina. The sweets made happy Slovak countrymen´ children in a nursery school in the village Selenča. "It’s amazing to see that we can do a joy to these children. We help our countrymen, whenever we can," said Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová.
Saint Nicholas´ unusual gift – 135 kg of apples, 40 kg of bananas and 70 kg of oranges – wandered among homeless men who live in the Shelter of Mother Teresa in Bratislava-Petržalka. |
