During the official visit of the Lithuanian President to Slovakia on 10 June 2008 also negotiations were held between the First Ladies. Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová informed Mrs. Alma Adamkienė about her activities in the Slovak Foundation – Education and Health for Everybody. In addition, ladies spoke about the project First Folk Academy, which has long been successfully operating in Lithuania and Latvia with a strong state support.
First Ladies than visited the Slovak National Museum, where they reviewed an interesting exhibition "How We Lived?" with the subtitle "Slovakia in the 20th century". Lithuanian president’s wife Mrs. Alma Adamkienė could see a bit of the history of Slovakia – not only clothes but also objects which were used in the past: Slovak banknotes, historical photographs, posters and radio broadcasting. She was interested in the original of so-called Pittsburgh Agreement which founded a common state of Czechs and Slovaks, as well as the Ondrej Nepela gold medal from the Olympic Games in Japan.
