On 5 September 2012 First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová took part in the festive opening ceremony of the new school year at the United Boarding School at Svrčia street in Bratislava. For more than 50 years this special school provides comprehensive care for visually impaired children from all over Slovakia. "Dear students, I am very glad that I can be among you again. For the new school year I wish you good result and, in particular, that you should feel good here," wished all school students the First Lady.
On this occasion, Mrs. Gašparovičová by cutting a ribbon officially opened the so called ´Emotional Paradise´ - a Snoezelen room for stimulation and relaxation for pupils of the school, which the school managed to establish due to a contribution of the Slovak Foundation of Silvia Gašparovičová – Education and Health for Everybody. Thanks to this faciliy the teachers will be able to improve their care for children and help them in breaking tension and fears.
