In the Reduta building in Bratislava on 14th March 2009 came together nurses from all over Slovakia. In the historical building was a ceremonial gala event ´Sister of the Year 2008´ organized. The auspice over this event took the First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, the Prime Minister Mr. Róbert Fico and the Minister of Health Mr. Richard Raši.
Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová thanked the nurses for their sacrificial work and for the fact that the years of experience they don´t leave only for themselves but give them to younger colleagues. "To become a nurse is mainly the challenge, which is behind the willingness to take professional care of those who need you, inject them smile, to be the backbone of their sufferings and despair. The patient is very grateful for the nice smile, patience, human approach, caress of your hands, understanding, encouragement and sees his nurse as a guardian angel."
Sister of the Year 2008 in the category Nursing Provider became Mrs. Eva Cviková who takes care about new-born at the Neonatology Clinic in Nové Zámky. In the category Manager won Mrs. Anna Reháková from the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Teaching Hospital Bratislava-Petržalka. |
