First lady of Slovakia met new ambassadors’ wives in Slovakia

Wife of the new Ambassador of Denmark to Slovakia Mrs. Pia Konigsfeldt and first Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Gašparovičová discussed about the beauty and attractions of Slovakia and education and training of young people in both countries. Mrs. Gašparovičová mentioned her interesting visit to Denmark, where she received inspirational knowledge about environmental protection, especially the effective use of waste to generate electric power. First Lady of Slovakia appreciated the presence of women in management positions in large numbers. Mrs. Konigsfeldt appreciated Roma Festival in Slovakia for supporting the cultural development and education of Romany inhabitants.

During the discussion with Mrs. Wivine M. A. Van Rijssen-Zwart, wife of the Ambassador of Netherlands to Slovakia, Mrs. Gašparovičová mentioned her recent visit to Netherlands, where she pointed up Queen Beatrix’s excellence and expertise combined with a friendly approach to people. Mrs. Gašparovičová mentioned very interesting project under the auspices of Queen Beatrix for the children of immigrants named "Music to learning" in cooperation with the Dutch Philharmonic. Both ladies noted that in Netherlands more women are currently involved into governmental management positions than in private sector.

In discussion of Mrs. Gašparovičová with Mrs. Maryann Schmunk wife of German Ambassador to Slovakia ladies talked about Bratislava and Slovakia. Like to other ladies Mrs. Gašparovičová presented Mrs. Maryann Schmunk interesting informatory material. The main topics of discussions were education, health and status of women in management positions.
