First Lady visited the Department of Pediatric Pneumology and Phtiseology in Bratislava

First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová visited on 28 February 2012 the Department of Pediatric Pneumology and Phtiseology of the SMU and UHB. Deputy Director of the University Hospital in Bratislava for the Ružinov Hospital Mr. Tomáš Haško with the senior doctor of the Department of Paediatric Pneumology and Phtiseology Mrs. Jaroslava Orosová informed the First Lady about activities and focus of the clinic. After visiting the facility premises Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová rendered a gift to the hospital – a monitor and computer. "I am glad that our gift will help especially at teaching future doctors-specialists who can help little patients," said the First Lady.

Department of Pediatric Pneumology and Phtiseology SMU and UHB is a unique institute of its kind in Slovakia. Top experts in pediatric pneumology are working at the clinic. The department specializes itself at the diagnosis and treatment of acute chronic respiratory diseases of children and is the largest Slovak cystic fibrosis center.
