On 29 October 2012, the First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová participated in the meeting of the Top Center of Businesswomen, as well as of the Board of Directors of the International Club of Businesswomen and Manageresses, that took place in the historical building of the National Council of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Mrs. Renáta Zmajkovičová.
Content of the discussions was primarily the preparation of European Businesswomen and Manageresses Day, that will be held on 16 - 18 May 2013 in Slovakia. "I welcome any initiative aimed at increasing the number of female entrepreneurs in Slovakia," said the First Lady of Slovakia at the beginning of the meeting. She appreciates that next year women entrepreneurs from across Europe will visit Slovakia and also through this event Slovak businesswomen will be able to establish contacts with foreign countries.
The main objective of the Civil Association Top Center of Businesswomen is in various ways to contribute to the cooperation between women who chose to become economically independent and consequently become a part of the business community in Slovakia.
