Home | First lady | Activities of Silvia Gašparovičová | Year 2009 | Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová visited Prague
On 9th February 2009 visited the slovak presidential couple the Czech Republic. During the negotiation of the slovak president Ivan Gašparovič and his counterpart Václav Klaus absolved their spouses a separate ladies programme – Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová and Mrs. Livia Klausová visited the Rožmberk Palace.
Interesting is the fact that this palace served in 1753 as the Institute of Aristocratic Ladies established by the empress Maria Teresa. In his facilities could both First Ladies hear a beautiful harp concert played by Zbyňka Šolcová.
In the afternoon visited the slovak and czech First Lady the Agnes Monastery and viewed the exhibition of St. Wenceslas – patron of the Czech land. This exhibition shows his life and history of the veneration of St. Wenceslas, as well as the oldest Wenceslas´ commemorations – his sword with the blad from 10th century and helmet.
