On Tuesday, 8 January 2008, Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová together with the President of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ivan Gašparovič welcomed in the Majol Hall of the President´s Palace representatives of church and religious communities in Slovakia. Mrs. Gašparovičová wished all of them many fortitude for their hard and very needed work in the New Year.
It was an annual New Year meeting where also Mr. Marek Maďarič, Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, took part. Also an ecumenic prayer for Slovakia in the chapel of the President´s Palace presented by Mr. Tomáš Kriška, chairman of the board of Brother´s Unit of Baptists, was a part of this event.
