Spouse of the slovak President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová participated on 31 May 2010 in the festive proclamation of the public inquiry Slovak Woman of the Year 2010. Gala evening of the second year of the survey took place in the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre and the auspice over the event took the spouse of the President. Award for the absolute winner from the hands of Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová took Mrs. Štefánia Moricová, who is already 11 years the Deputy Director of the University Hospital and Clinic of the Academician Ladislav Dérer in Bratislava-Kramáre. She also deals with education of young professionals. "It’s a great honor. It’s amazing to get the highest award," said Mrs. Moricová, who won also in the category ’Health’.
In the category ´Science and Education´ won the molecular biologist Vanda Repiská, who works in the diagnostics of cancer and non-cancer diseases. Mrs. Repiská forgot not to mention her students that have done a remarkable campaign. "I am a popular teacher. To me they come not only with scientifical but also with ordinary problems," said Mrs. Repiská after the proclamation. In the category ’Sports’ the award has gone to the olympian Anastasia Kuzminová. In the category ´Charity and Support of Young Talents´ became the winner Mrs. Eva Siracká.
Satisfied with the selection of winners was also Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová. She added that the public could become aware of successful and gifted slovak women. "Of women, who are successful in their field, but the public knows them not so much. This survey provides also awareness of women who are doing activities for the benefit of others. Most valued were my personal tips." |
