By a welcoming ceremony in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace on 26 February 2013 began Czech President Václav Klaus and his wife Livia Klausová their official visit to Slovakia. This was his last official visit as the Czech head of state.
After signing the guestbook followed a tête-à-tête meeting of the presidential couples. Afterwards First Ladies of Slovakia and the Czech Republic visited the National Integration Center in Bratislava. Within the center the integration of disabled people is carried out through dance activities, as well as many other types of therapies. In addition to the premises of the center, Mrs. Gašparovičová and Mrs. Klausová had a chance to see also dance demonstrations by dancers in wheelchairs along with their healthy dance partners. As the Slovak First Lady noted, "it is a wonderful project and activity. I´m always very happy to come here and support them. Seeing the enthusiasm of dancers in wheelchairs and their amazing feats is really great."
During the second day of their official visit, the Czech presidential couple took part in the ceremonial meeting of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Slovakia, than they met with the Mayor of Bratislava Milan Ftáčnik and ended the visit by a luncheon with Prime Minister Robert Fico. |
