This time not by car, but by boat on the Danube – this method of visiting the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič was chosen by the Austrian President Heinz Fischer. On 16th June 2008 he and his wife Margita had a beautiful trip along the Danube river from Vienna to Bratislava. Their trip continued with the slovak presidential couple in the center of the slovak capital. During the working session of the two Presidents had their wives the opportunity to discuss current issues of both countries, as well as their activities.
Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová advised Mrs. Margita Fischer on projects she realizes as the President of the Slovak Foundation - Education and Health for Everybody. Interestingly, the Austrians were especially captured and pleased by Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who was wearing a violet costume – they appreciated the color shade that resembled the color of the popular Austrian football club.
