On 20th September 2007 by a solemn welcoming ceremony in the courtyard of the hungarian Keszthely Palace began a two-day summit of presidents of the V4 countries. It participated the Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič with his wife Silvia and the heads of the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, who were also accompanied by their wifes.
Theme of the plenary meeting was the assessment of the three years membership of the V4 countries in the European Union. The second main topic of discussions was the "Transport and the free movement of people after entering of the V4 countries into the Schengen area“.
Meanwhile, First Ladies had the opportunity to admire a large collection of coaches in the local museum and an exhibition of hungarian historical churches. After a joint tea in the Venetian mirror room the ladies joined their husbands and, after a walk in the historical center, the presidential couples came over the Lake Balaton by boat to the city Badacsony.
On Friday, 21st September 2007, the First Ladies could see the world-famous porcelain factory in the town of Herend. Ladies admired the hand manufacture and painting of various plate or pieces, and finally signed the guestbook.
