On 13 June 2013 the First Lady of Slovakia Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová hosted at the separate ladies´ program spouses of heads of states who attended the 18th Central Europe Summit of Heads of State in Bratislava. Mrs. Svetlana Vujanović from Montenegro, Mrs. Evelin Ilves from Estonia, Mrs. Maja Ivanova from Macedonia, Mrs. Tatjana Josipović from Croatia, Mrs. Anna Komorowska from Poland, Mrs. Margareta Timofti from Moldova, Mrs. Anita Herczegh from Hungary, Mrs. Dragica Nikolić from Serbia and Mrs. Ivana Zemanová from the Czech Republic visited in the morning the Red Stone Castle. First Ladies were enchanted from the visit of the castle, not only due to its rich history and exposure, but also due to the beautiful natural surroundings.
In the second part of the program First Ladies visited the nearby wine complex Elesko. There they had a tour through the winery, but also the opportunity to taste Slovak wines – a white, a pink, a red and the specific straw wine. Whereas in the wine complex is also a museum located, First Ladies viewed the exhibition entitled "Karásek VS Africa". It´s an exhibition of modern works of art – sculptures and objects – of the artist Miloš Karásek, as well as of ritual objects and masks from Central Africa, which come from the private collection of Mr. Karásek.
But also Slovak cuisine was presented – the cultural experience was followed by a festive lunch served by Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová in the gallery´s facilities. |
