First Lady Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová participated on 13th April 2011 in a workshop of the International Business Women´s Top Club. The event was aimed to support initiatives emanating from the EU Parliament – more women into executive positions, more women in the real economy. The event inaugurated the First Lady of Slovakia. In her welcome speech she appreciated that the international workshop takes place in Slovakia. "Starting women entrepreneurs in Slovakia can get advise from entrepreneurs associations and in the Top Center of Businesswomen, where successful entrepreneurs are ready to help. Today there is an another option – to use the international cooperation," said at the beginning of the meeting Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who is the honorary president of Top Centre of Businesswomen.
In her activities the First Lady tries to highlight the extraordinary role of women in the Slovak society, "as in the poll Slovak Woman of the Year or the Slovak Businesswoman. Through my Foundation I strive to create better conditions for women, children and families in difficulties," said Silvia Gašparovičová.
Due to the European Commission women’s entrepreneurial potential is the undiscovered source of new growth and more jobs. According to the wife of the President, Slovakia has a chance to learn from experience others. "I hope that your negotiations will be successful and beneficial to share experiences and to establish new cooperation," she concluded at the end of the meeting.
The Top Centre of Businesswomen is for several years trying to develop international cooperation between women entrepreneurs; since 2009 it is a full member of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs. The presentation workshop, held in Bratislava, is an initiative of the Top Centre of Businesswomen. |
