President of SR Ivan Gasparovic had visited Bratislava - New Town District
Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic had visited the Bratislava District of New Town. In the City Hall he was welcomed by the Mayor Richard Frimmel. After a brief presentation of the City District he discussed with the District local representatives the issues related to the amendment of administrative territorial division of Bratislava. Ivan Gasparovic is of the opinion that Bratislava as the National Capitol rightly deserves to be a separate Higher Territorial Unit or at the least it should have a special position. However, in his view this requires a broader public discussion and a political consensus. After having visited the Bratislava – New Town City Hall Ivan Gasparovic, accompanied by the Mayor Richard Frimmel, had inspected the local sporting facility and an ice hockey gallery within the Elementary school in Kalinciakova Street where he talked to young ice hockey players and students of this sport-focused school. Later he paid his visit to the Retired citizens Club in Sportova Street. In the afternoon Ivan Gasparovic had met with entrepreneurs, artists, and athletes in the Culture House in the Kramare District.
