Slovak Woman of the Year 2013 photo exhibition

On 13 May 2013 President of Slovakia Mr. Ivan Gašparovič and his wife Silvia opened in the Sala Terrena at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava the photo exhibition of 26 women nominated in the nation-wide inquiry Slovak Woman of the Year 2013. Author of the photos is again the renowned portrait photographer Ivona Orešková. Among the portraits of women from different fields of culture, science, education, health, charity, business or sport is also a portrait of the First Lady of the Slovak Republic Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová, who took over the patronage over the inquiry also this year.

Ladies were welcomed by the First Lady: "I´m delighted that portraits of all nominees are exhibited in our Sala Terrena – a place of honor, where exhibitions of well known and renowned artists are taking place."

Announcement of the festive 5th nation-wide inquiry Slovak Woman of the Year 2013, that is organized by the Slovak magazine Slovenka in partnership with RTVS and the Slovak National Theatre, will be held on 20 May 2013 in the historical building of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava. Aim of tis inquiry is to raise awareness about Slovak ladies who are successful in various professions and thus motivate other women in Slovakia
