On 15 December 2008 welcomed the spouse of the slovak President Mrs. Silvia Gašparovičová Mrs. Maria Karakanta, wife of the new designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Slovak Republic, based in Bratislava.
In the relaxed atmosphere both ladies discussed Bratislava and plans of architects to make Bratislava to New York of Europe. Mrs. Karakanta also highlighted the strong ties between Greece and Slovakia. She noted that many Greeks go into Slovak mountains and spas, especially in winter, and vice versa Slovaks go to Greece especially in summer. Mrs. Gašparovičová hopes that future interactions between our countries will reinforce. |
